Abstract

The integration of artificial intelligence into professional nursing education and practice is a challenge. The objective is to describe the attitude of nursing students at the Central University of Venezuela towards artificial intelligence and the implications for their future integration into the profession. Quantitative and field research was carried out in students in the last semester using a questionnaire. The results show the disposition towards the usefulness of the tool in different areas of nursing and its incorporation into their training and future practice. They express concern that artificial intelligence could replace essential functions or clinical judgment of nurses and concerns about the privacy of patient data. The curricular incorporation of these topics is required to address concerns and facilitate an effective and ethical integration of this technology into the profession.
