Abstract

Objective: To analyze the communicative competences in medical students of UNIANDES. Method: Descriptive observational. Results: 80% of the teachers surveyed mentioned that students do not possess oral expression skills, but they do not demonstrate a complete mastery of the activity. Conclusion: Second semester medical students lack some of the communicative competences such as: comprehensive reading, nonverbal language, persuasion and oral expression, lack of clarity of ideas, verbal fluency, scientific language, adjustment to the topic. The communicative competences are very important in the personal and social development of the student and are of great relevance in the formation of the future medical professional.
